About the Role
As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a key role at the heart of finance operations within a fast-paced aerospace environment. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that supports strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including general ledger close and group reporting packs
- Oversee SAP Cockpit and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) workflows to ensure compliance and timely processing
- Manage, coach, and support the development of a Trainee Accountant
- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes using digital tools and analytics
- Support audits, statutory reporting, tax activities, and internal controls
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or equivalent experience, ideally within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of process improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
Desirable
- Experience with Power BI and finance process automation
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving change
- Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems), advanced Excel skills, and digital finance tools
