Part 135 Charter Full-Time or Part-Time Salary Negotiable
We are seeking an experienced CFO / CPA to provide strategic and hands-on financial leadership for a Part 135 charter operation. This role is ideal for a finance leader who understands the regulatory, operational, and cash-flow realities of charter aviation. A JD is helpful but not required, particularly for contract and compliance support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy to support profitability, fleet utilization, and sustainable growth within a Part 135 environment
- Oversee accounting operations, including financial statements, month-end close, and GAAP compliance
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and treasury functions in a capital- and cash-intensive charter operation
- Develop and monitor budgets tied to aircraft operations, maintenance reserves, crew costs, and flight activity
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial risk management processes
- Oversee audit processes and work with external accountants, lenders, and advisors
- Provide financial analysis and insight to executive leadership to support pricing, fleet decisions, and expansion initiatives
- Support contract review, lease structures, and regulatory-related financial considerations (JD helpful)
Preferred Experience
- CPA required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- Prior experience in Part 135 charter, aviation management, or aviation services strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- Charter revenue models and flight-hour economics
- Aircraft operating costs, maintenance reserves, and capital planning
- FAA/Part 135 regulatory and compliance environments (financial impact)
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization
