Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate or Experienced Contracts Procurement Agent (Level 2 or 3) to join the Supply Chain Supplier Performance team in Auburn, Washington.

As a procurement agent, you will provide contracting knowledge, negotiate and carry out all aspects of BCA Supply Chain Contracts in support of production programs. Your primary duties include maintaining relationships with external companies and internal collaborators, and negotiating cost recoveries, engineering changes, and contract extensions. In this role, you will be the primary contact with the supplier(s) and will maintain contracts and statement of work within approved BCA Supply Chain policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.

  • Negotiate, interpret, and enforce contract terms and conditions.

  • Provide oversight and contract management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance.

  • Integrate program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into negotiation and contracting strategies.

  • Initiate and execute supplier improvement activities, inclusive of Value Engineering, and integrate results into contracting strategies.

  • Proactively communicate with the leadership team, peers, and customers. This may include the preparation and presentation of the business vision, supplier strategies, program/project status, etc.

  • Establish partnerships and relationships across various business units with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and peers.

  • Conducts risk, issues, and opportunities management.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Auburn, Washington site.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1&43; years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement contracting.

  • 1&43; years of experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.

  • 3&43; years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically as needed.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3&43; years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelors degree.

  • 3&43; years of experience creating and developing strategy plans.

  • 3&43; years of experience developing proposals or contracts.

  • 3&43; years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.

  • 3&43; years of experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Associate (Level 2):  Typically, 3 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Experienced (Level 3):  Typically, 6 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range – Associate (Level 2):  $68,400 - $83,600

Summary pay range – Experienced (Level 3):  $84,600 - $103,400
