This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand system transactions Assist in resolving discrepancies by coordinating with employees, suppliers and other organizations
- Perform basic supplier account reconciliations, work closely supply chain management and other members of the organization and answering there questions
- Apply Cash Receipts
- Disbursement transactions with suppliers in accounts payable
- Use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and controls that will prevent or reduce risk of potential misstatements
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), internal controls, and company and departmental procedures
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Weekly review of the critical pay suppliers insuring payments are made timely
- Manage assigned projects to deadlines. Supporting any payment related projects
- Work under deadlines and assist with resolving accounting challenges
- Collaborate and grow in a team environment
- Learn and apply knowledge and training in SAP
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Strong Excel skills, organizing and analyzing large volumes of data
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Very organized, able to follow through and track tasks
- Must be a US Citizen
- HS Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; or 5 years or more related business area of experience
- Previous accounts payable experience
- SAP or other ERP system

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $41,250 - $63,250
