The role: An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as a Finance Transformation Data lead has arisen! You will be responsible for crafting a culture of automation and innovation through the continuous improvement of financial control, planning and reporting. You will strive to ensure that data can be exploited as a strategic asset for decision making, through a robust data strategy.
What you’ll do: - Establish robust finance data governance practices and integrated data strategy to ensure accurate data quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Implement Advanced Analytics solutions to manage big data and data products, linking financial and non-financial data.
- Drive automation in our reporting processes, streamlining manual, time-consuming tasks, and maximising return on investment.
- Advocate the adoption of new technologies, such as automated BI reports and ERP.
- Govern and coordinate data synchronisation, clean-up, migration and transfer activities.
- Explore and champion the use of AI throughout various business functions, including predictive analytics and optimisation.
What you’ll bring to British Airways: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex technical information into clear simple messages.
- Strong project management skills and comfortable communicating ideas to senior leadership.
- A digital mindset with a creative approach to problem solving.
Your experience: - Knowledge of financial master data structures and reporting.
- Experience in designing enterprise data management and reporting solutions is essential.
- Experience supporting a CFO/CTO function on data transformation is desirable.
- A qualification in a relevant field, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA would be advantageous.
