Responsibilities
The Manager, Division FP&A is a strategic, analytical, and dynamic role that leads the financial planning and analysis function for one of the company’s key business divisions. This individual will serve as a key financial advisor to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making through rigorous financial analysis, project and contract evaluations, and business insights. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can deliver results under pressure and is experienced in providing clear, concise financial recommendations to C-Suite and other executives
Responsibilities
Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the division
- Coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with corporate targets
- Track and analyze variances versus budget/forecast and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with the Accounting teams to support month-end and year-end close processes
Financial Analysis and Modeling
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling to support divisional business strategies and initiatives
- Analyze project and contract proposals for financial viability and strategic alignment
- Identify financial risks and opportunities across business unit
Strategic Support and Business Partnership
Partner with divisional leadership to evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements
- Develop business cases and ROI analysis for capital expenditures, new initiatives, and partnerships
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate financial policies
Executive Reporting and Presentations
- Prepare and present financial updates, strategic outlooks, and variance analyses for C-Suite and Board of Directors meetings
- Translate complex financial data into compelling, visual, and actionable insights
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, Contracts, and Corporate FP&A
- Serve as the primary liaison between business divisions and corporate finance
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Education Specific Field
- Finance and/or Accounting
Experience
Additional Certifications
- MSF or MBA with Finance Concentration preferred
- Advanced professional credential (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, PMP, FPAC) is preferred
Specialized Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within a complex, matrixed organization; aviation or transportation industry experience preferred
- Experience with SAP Financials or other large ERP systems
- Strong financial planning and financial modeling experience required
- Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Excellent presentation skills
