Position Summary
SUMMARY:
The Pricing Leadership Development Associate (Pricing LDA) is a role that combines the development aspects of Parker’s Leader Development Program (LDP/Program) with the general duties of a Parker Pricing Analyst at a division. The Pricing LDA’s primary duties will involve proactively analyzing and making recommendations considering customer value-based spaneting, competitive spanets, and company costs affecting the business plans and profitability across the division, incorporating program aspects to support decision-making processes that will impact our long-term future.
The Program involves a one-year rotation where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences throughout the initial two years with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching/mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities related to the rotational Pricing Analyst assignment, including, but not limited to:
- Design and implement continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to eliminate waste and improve process. - Works with IT staff in design and implementation of systems and reporting improvements for measuring and monitoring pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist in analyzing division product spanets determining the ceiling and floor prices of products.
- Evaluate cause and effect with pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution and segmentation. Recommend appropriate levels.
- Monitor and keep divisions focused on corporate strategic pricing initiatives.
- Create and reinforce continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models.
- Implement tools to be used by product managers and field sales.
- Assist divisions in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates and managing any restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
- Analyze the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.
- Provide management with reports which allows management to effectively respond to changing economic conditions and spanet changes. Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field with 2-5 years experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Project management skills with sales/spaneting experience a plus.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices and cost accounting.
- Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confident.
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
- Pay Range: $60,600/annually to $115,000/annually reflecting variations based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
