Contract Position
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) and suppliers/subcontractors, managing fixed-price and cost-reimbursement subcontracts and purchase orders.
Analyze material requirements using the Oracle system to identify purchasing needs.
Develop and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Perform cost and price analyses on vendor proposals to ensure alignment with budget and program objectives.
Negotiate contract terms to meet performance, delivery, and cost targets.
Prepare, place, and administer purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor supplier compliance with contract terms and delivery schedules.
Coordinate issue resolution with suppliers related to quality, payment, and design matters.
Manage the source selection process in accordance with GDLS and procurement regulations.
Ensure compliance with applicable procurement laws and company standards.
Conduct onsite supplier program reviews as necessary.
Monitor MRP planning and lead-time schedules to ensure timely procurement.
Support cross-functional program teams and participate in strategic supply chain efforts.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain functions.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Experience using Oracle and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and compliance standards.
Proven skills in cost and price analysis, contract negotiation, and proposal evaluation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Occasional domestic and international travel required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
