Role PurposeThe Senior Executive, Commercial & Pricing is responsible in monitoring day-to-day menu quotation, perform analysis, spanet research and benchspaning, contractual validation and ensure the pricing meet the intended financial targets and timeline. This role is crucial in assisting the Manager in establishing and defining recipe-based pricing, elements and costing procedure in delivering competitive and profit-making business strategy.
Key Accountability- Cost Analysis & Planning
- Analyse quotations from all overseas catering service provider based on menu specification and contractual pricing terms.
- Evaluate pricing trends and structures, spanet movements to support decision making and vendor management.
- Monitor all menu deployment costs to ensure alignment with spanet or industry standards.
- Identify irregularities in menu costing (e.g. portion size, ratio and price deviation) and recommend adjustments.
- Ensure all quotation are reviewed and recommended for approval in accordance with contractual terms.
- Governance & Control
- Maintain centralized quotation and pricing record from all catering service providers systemwide
- Ensure all quotation and pricing processes are executed through the In-Flight Systems accurately for billing and compliance.
- Track the progress of menu specification and ensures timely issuance of pricing approval.
- Propose adjustments to menu components or ingredients to achieve cost optimisation.
- Act as the liaison with overseas catering service providers and ensure quotation alignment with menu deployment.
- Monitor for unvetted or unauthorised menu implementations from time to time.
- Contract & Commercial
- Support the Manager in recipe-based costing processes, by providing detailed ingredient cost breakdown and spanet research.
- Establish and maintain a database of raw material costs and supplier information for benchspaning purposes.
- Analyse fluctuations in ingredient prices and highlight cost trends to support commercial and deployment planning.
- Assist in strategic negotiation and tactical pricing with suppliers considering various yield losses.
- Assist in development and maintain dynamic commodity deployment plans to ensure competitiveness of commercial pricing.
- Financial & Accounting
- Track and consolidate all products and services rendered by Operations and ensure accurate Sales Order issuance and posting.
- Monitor record submissions and identify potential service leakages, discrepancies, or fraudulent records.
- Work closely with Business Support and Finance to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
Qualification & Working Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or other related field from recognized higher institutions
- 2 years of experience in airlines business, catering operations, finance, management support or other relevant areas.
