Position Summary

The Interior Technician is responsible for performing installation, modification, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft interior components to support VIP completion and modification projects. This role involves working with cabinetry, sidewalls, headliners, seats, carpet, and paneling, ensuring the highest standards of fit, finish, and quality in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and FAA regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly skilled in aircraft interiors, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced completions environment.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Perform installation, fitment, and adjustment of interior components including cabinetry, panels, seats, and monuments.
• Conduct modifications and repairs of interior components in accordance with drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Support upholstery, carpet, and trim installations, ensuring precise fit and finish.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, and fasteners per process requirements.
• Assist in pre-fit, adjustment, and final installation of interior furnishings and decorative materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control to address fitment issues and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Accurately document work performed in ERP/MRO systems (Corridor, CorrPlus, or Traxxall).
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts within the completions shop.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145, company RSM/QCM, and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade school training in aircraft interiors preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft interior completions, modifications, or refurbishments (VIP or MRO environment preferred).
• Experience with aircraft cabinetry installation, upholstery, or decorative finish work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process specifications.
• Familiarity with hand tools, pneumatic tools, adhesives, and installation hardware used in interior modifications.
• Experience with ERP/MRO systems (Corridor, CorrPlus, or Traxxall) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling in confined aircraft spaces.
• Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in elevated platforms, ladders, or stands.
