Join us at TeamGlobal — where excellence empowers us!Aircraft Seating Technician Location:*Greensboro, NC*Client is an FAA-approved repair station specializing in custom aircraft seat upholstery and refurbishment.*We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Seating Technician to support our growing interiors department.*This role focuses solely on the mechanical, structural, and functional aspects of aircraft seating, including disassembly, inspection, repair, modification, cleaning, and reassembly.*Attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow FAA and company procedures are critical.* Position Overview The Aircraft Seating Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul on aircraft seats and seating components.*This includes complete disassembly, cleaning, replacement of worn/damaged parts, mechanical adjustments, reassembly, and documentation per FAA standards.*Work assignments vary daily and may require independent work.

Key Responsibilities
* Disassemble aircraft seats and seat assemblies per work orders and maintenance manuals.
* Inspect seat components (frames, mechanisms, tracks, actuators, etc.) for damage, wear, or required repair.
* Repair, modify, replace, and overhaul aircraft seating components in accordance with FAA, OEM, and company specifications.
* Clean, prepare, and restore seat structures and components.
* Perform mechanical adjustments and ensure proper seat function, alignment, and operation.
* Maintain a working familiarity with multiple aircraft seat styles and configurations.
* Assist with technical planning and approaches for seat modification projects.
* Inspect incoming materials for flaws and/or quality issues
* Maintain and repair shop equipment, tools, and workspace as needed.
* Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company and safety standards.
* Assist in training and supporting lesser-experienced technicians.
* Complete all documentation and work orders accurately and in compliance with FAA guidelines.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Interiors or management. Experience & Qualifications
* 1–3 years of experience working with aircraft interiors or aircraft seating strongly preferred.
* Understanding of aircraft interior components and seat mechanical systems.
* Sheetmetal experience – cutting, bending, riveting.
* Composite repair – edge fill, installing inserts, thru serts, etc.
* Knowledge of typical aircraft seating styles and mechanism types.
* Ability to follow technical instructions, drawings, IPCs, CMMs, and maintenance documents.
* Self-motivated and able to maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional attitude when working with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
* Ability to read, write, and speak English. Regulatory & Safety Requirements
* Perform all work in accordance with FAA regulations and company-approved procedures.
* Follow OSHA, hazmat, and general safety standards.
* Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug/alcohol test and be subject to random testing.
* Maintain customer-oriented work habits and professional conduct. Physical Requirements
* Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
* Routine walking, bending, standing, and squatting.
* Repetitive motion with hands and arms (disassembly, tool operation, part handling).
* Ability to stand for long periods.
