Spend your summer gaining hands-on experience in StandardAero’s Operations team, where you’ll be exposed to the core processes that keep aircraft engines and components running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for students interested in aircraft engine maintenance. You’ll support a variety of shop activities, including cleaning aircraft parts and assisting with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes, while learning from experienced technicians in a safety-focused environment.
** This is an on-site role located in Prince Edward Island. Only candidates who are currently local to PEI or able to reliably commute will be considered. Relocation is not available for this position.**
What You’ll Do
- Assist with cleaning and preparation of aircraft parts and components
- Support basic tasks in engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes
- Help move parts and materials between workstations as required
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas
- Work alongside technicians and team members to support daily operations
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary program or have completed Grade 10 or higher
Must be authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis without sponsorship
Available to work full-time during the summer term
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in aerospace, mechanics, or hands-on technical work
- Basic understanding of how machines or engines work is a plus
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines
