AIBT (Airbus Beluga Transport)  is Airbus’ new airline that operates the A300 Beluga ST fleet for commercial flights.

The 5 A300 Beluga ST aircraft  historically operated by Airbus Transport International (ATI) are being replaced and will therefore be available for external transport activities (commercial transport of Engines, Helicopters, Satellite components or complete satellites, ISS Components, Containers, Machinery).  Commercial operations already started in December 2021.

Airbus has created  the new AIBT Airline to manage and commercialize these operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As AIBT TO Material and Logistics Officer, you will support the Material and Logistics Manager and work in close cooperation with the rest of the Tech. Ops team, ATI teams and contracted suppliers.

In this regard, you will contribute to define and set-up some of the appropriate processes, ways of working and contracts to support operations in safe and cost effective manner with: ATI CAMO (airworthiness data management, modifications and inspections policy, maintenance planning and operations, fleet technical follow-up) / ATI DOA & POA teams for upgrades and modifications linked to obsolescence management and necessary upgrades (worldwide activities, new payloads) / ATI material support / Contracted maintenance  organization / Contracted Warehousing supplier / Contracted transport and logistic suppliers.

 

You will be responsible to contract/purchase material and logistics services from the selected M&L  supplier/s, to perform the associated contract monitoring and the oversight and coordination of the M&L activities.

In coordination with AIBT CAMO, subcontracted CAMO (ATI) and contracted Maintenance organization, you will be responsible to contract, coordinate and supervise M&L activities to ensure spares and material availability to secure aircraft timely readiness for commercial operations. That includes component and material procurement activities and component repair management activities.

You will contribute to coordinate and supervise the preparation and execution of the technical operations for commercial flights that will be operated by the AIBT Beluga A300-600ST fleet, in particular in case of unexpected technical events. This role will therefore require, as appropriate, occasional 24/7 stand-by activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies.

Educational Qualifications : BAC&43;2 or equivalent (&43;5 years of relevant experience in the Airline/MRO material management field).

Technical knowledge :

Commercial  aviation technical background and knowledge.  Minimum Aeronautical experience: 2 years ;
Relevant experience in material management, logistics, procurement, material planning, stock level management,  component reliability and component repair management. Basic knowledge of aviation maintenance environment (Part 145) and familiar with Part M/Part CAMO requirements ;
Competencies in calculating and establishing stock levels and provisioning policies and strategies based on operational factors (system reliability, MTBF/MTBR,  aircraft utilization, etc..), logistic factors (supplier lead time, repair TAT, transport interval, etc) and economical factors (cost of part, cost of repair, cost of AOG)

Soft skills :

Ability to convince people, successfully negotiate  and drive changes ;
Ability to work both autonomously and in a team collaborative environment ;
High reactivity to operational issues and fire fighting ;
Ability to work with people at all levels in an organization ;
Good communications skills with the ability to convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing, in French & English.
