Position Summary

JOB PURPOSE Indirect Buyer supports the development and execution of our services, machines and Capex parts, working closely with internal stakeholders and key suppliers. 

MAIN DUTIES

1. Supports the sourcing of machines, services, ensuring conformance to Meggitt policies, processes and direction.

2. Manages source change & sourcing activity from idea generation through to approval & production handover adhering to agreed processes and resolving issues that arise in an effective and timely manner 

3. Carries out supplier research, evaluation & selection and to continually strengthen our supply base and ensure we are matching opportunities with appropriate suppliers.

4. Develops and negotiates contracts as required and manages enforcement of contractual obligations with suppliers.

5. Works with internal stakeholders to ensure we are identifying opportunities to drive down cost, eliminate the risk of adverse PCV and drive optimum supply chain performance. Supports resolution of cost, quality and delivery issues within the site & regional team as requested.

6. Works within the regional team to deliver against agreed KPIs supporting our wider procurement strategy

7. Review performance data related to purchasing effectiveness and take a role in driving corrective actions where necessary.  Proactively work with major suppliers within assigned commodities to discover and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement, performance improvement, savings, and other efficiencies by working across supplier and internal organizations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Proceed saving project to comply with Global.

2. Dealing with supplier to shorten the LT, long payment term. 

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

1. More than 4 years or more work experience in the manufacturing set up in the indirect material procurement, especially in machine & Capex.

2. Fluent in English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading)
3. Experience using Oracle, SAP, ERP or other Purchasing system.
4. Good at Excel, VBA/ Power BI.
