Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the business MRP system
Purchase items in line with production schedules using defined processes
Interrogate the MRP system and run reports and where necessary, implement appropriate recovery plans
Monitor supplier on-time delivery KPI’s.
Proactively manage supplier product non-conformity working with operations.
Set up, review and implement terms and conditions with existing and new suppliers
Work to reduce supplier concessions.
Actively work with suppliers to ensure that goods are delivered on time.
Identify cost down / continuous improvement opportunities within the business
Receive Bills of Materials and carry out system checks on materials and services to be supplied to projects and shipping requirements
Negotiate with suppliers obtaining best price and lead times, resolving any supply chain issues
Use your experience and knowledge to provide guidance and support to colleagues with supply chain queries.
Requirements:
MCIPS/Degree preferred
Strong Supply Chain experience is essential, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Stakeholder engagement, management and governance
Strong contract management skills
Strong organisational and leadership skills
