Position Summary:
The Buyer in the Purchasing Department is responsible for purchasing aerospace products and materials according to the procedures in the company’s Quality Management System to ensure on-time deliveries are met while maintaining budget integrity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate production requirements utilizing ERP system to place purchase orders of materials and details based on production schedule and inventory levels.
- Work with all internal and external suppliers to ensure on time shipments and deliveries.
- Prepare material inventory report monthly and distributed to all applicable parties.
- Attend daily production meeting to communicate issues effecting material and delivery.
- Purchase indirect supplies and ensure on time delivery
- Actively support and participate in continuous improvement activities, team meetings, and holding him/herself accountable for sustaining improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
