Job Summary:

  • The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a NC/CNC Programmer (1st Shift). 
  • Hours are M-F, 6:30 am to 3 pm. 
  • PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. 
  • Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new CNC programs and revise existing programs to increase operating efficiency
  • Assist and advise Engineering, Maintenance and other departments with troubleshooting, planning, operation, and supervision of NC/CNC equipment.
  • Develop new repair methods
  • Provide technical support and training to shop floor operators
  • Address and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution

​Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • 5+ years of machining experience
  • Work experience reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements
  • Basic understanding through work experience or training of cutting tool geometry, materials, and applications
  • Experience with Fanuc controls including macros and looping

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical trade school degree in machining preferred
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX version 6 or newer software and Vericut tool path verification software
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience with CAD/CAM software
  • 5 axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
  • Vertical and horizontal lathe experience
  • Practical application of spindle probes and tool setting systems

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
  • Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
