Job Description:

Tasks

As the Centralized Purchasing Buyer, you will take on a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:

  • Analyze, interpret and report cost and financial data
  • Responsible for timely purchase of required material for the assigned purchasing items
  • Conduct evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Participates in monthly and annual financial closing activities
  • Issues purchase orders and sources of new and alternate suppliers if required by the purchasing guidelines or as requested
  • Act as a point of contact with suppliers, using purchasing skills to handle vendor issues, pricing negotiations, and purchase order management
  • Maintain supplier performance evaluations including backlog, delivery schedules, pricing and updates
  • Awareness of contractual conditions agreed with the suppliers and monitoring its adherence in daily operations

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • 2-3 years of purchasing experience required
  • Fluency in English language required
  • German language desirable
  • Knowledge in Aviation MRO, project management and business development
