Job Overview: 

Performs component part removal of various assemblies, including extensive drilling of rivets, to aid and assist in the repair process by exposing potential hidden damage.  Write up damage found and review technical data in OEM manuals.  May perform other duties commonly facilitated in other departments such as components repair, and assembly, e.g. structures, and bond.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Extensive use of hand tools, for teardown of component assemblies.
• Must be able to read basic blueprints.
• Must be able to review and navigate OEM manuals and drawing.
• Must be able to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e. scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience performing mechanical assembly in an aircraft, automotive, or similar environment is preferred.
• Experience looking up data in drawing and OEM Data.

Education:

• High school diploma, GED equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, kneel, bend and lift heavy objects (50lbs.), for extended periods of time.
