Join PDS Tech Commercial as a Direct Buyer Specialist and support New Product Introduction (NPI) for groundbreaking water solutions and ice protection systems. You’ll work at the heart of innovation, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain solutions for next-generation aerospace systems.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Direct Buyer Specialist, you will:
Execute sourcing strategies aligned with long-term program goals and commodity plans.
Liaise between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure design readiness and producibility.
Manage procurement transactions and timelines, including hardware development and First Article Inspection (FAI) deliveries.
Support supplier development and coordinate pricing, contracts, and negotiations with procurement teams.
Track and optimize cost-reduction initiatives and ensure timely responses to program changes.
Follow best practice standard work for NPI sourcing and program support.
What You’ll Need to BringRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or Program Management)
2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or program coordination in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement processes
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
Familiarity with aerospace components, quality systems, or FAI requirements
Knowledge of low-cost sourcing strategies and supplier development best practices

Pay Details: $40.30 per hour
