Summary

The Aircraft Parts Expeditor is the materials representative responsible for managing all aspects of aircraft parts and materials for use at a MRO facility for Heavy Maintenance and Induction aircraft.

Job Duties

• Liaison with company Maintenance Representatives and Buyers, MRO Shipping/Receiving Department, and MRO Buyers insuring availability and control of all material.

• Review and approve parts purchase requests. Determine and position pre-draw material prior to aircraft arrival.

• Attend and participate in daily production meetings. Follow up for completion on MRO responsible tasks.

• Manage all material movements and provide early warning indicators when purchase orders, repair orders, or transfers are off track for need by dates.

• Define processes and utilize LEAN techniques for continuous improvement in support of departmental objectives.

• Manage receiving information and confirm inventory is appropriately received in the inventory system of the MRO.

• Using receiving information from MRO MRP system, update Allegiant Information Systems (AIS).

• Execute accurate and prompt billing to MRO for lost or damaged parts and tooling.

• Review daily parts issue information and confirm inventory is appropriately issued in the inventory system of the MRO.

• Mirror transactions to AIS daily.

• Audit each days aircraft maintenance actions to assure that all parts issued to the aircraft have an appropriate unserviceable core returned to Allegiant Air.

• Generate Repair Orders and direct the disposition of unserviceable parts.

• Ensure Allegiants inventory is kept in a secured area and accessible only by authorized personnel and that inventory is organized and serviceable and unserviceable units are appropriately segregated.

• Ensure complete scanning and retention of serviceable parts paperwork.

• Manage cleanout of facility is performed by MRO personnel following a heavy check insuring accountability and accuracy of transactions of company-owned material and tooling

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Supply Operations.

• This includes the assembly of parts and materials required to support maintenance, the performance of physical inventory counts, participation in cycle count-related activities, development and maintenance of ad hoc reporting, etc.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Education Details: Degree in a technical study or A&P license highly desirable

Years of Experience:

Minimum seven (7) years' experience in related aircraft inventory control

Valid/Unexpired Passport Book Valid/Unexpired Driver's License

Preferred Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Heavy travel requirements of up to 85%.

• Relocation could be required.

• Potentially long work hours including weekends during some heavy checks.

• Strong intellect and aptitude desired, along with ability to manage multiple and varied activities.

• Good leadership and people management skills with effective communication skills.

• An ability to prioritize and effectively problem solve.

• Understanding of the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC).

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.

• Ability to report monthly metrics.

• LEAN experienced.

• Must be able to work without direct supervision.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
