General Duties:

Assists Fabrication Planner II or III in identifying tools and materials, defining and implementing work order planning, tracking with updates - the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft components, assemblies, and kits in support of each project. Have working knowledge of JD Edwards and required scheduling tools.

Essential Job Functions:

•    Read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings, identify problems or inconsistencies, and coordinate with Operations and Engineering personnel to resolve.

•    Identify the Bill Of Material (BOM) required to complete the manufacturing and assembly of items from engineering drawings and other source data and coordinate material purchases;

•    Identify tooling and special process requirements.

•    Draft and revise manufacturing, assembly, and inspection routings for the manufacturing and/or assembly of aircraft components, assemblies, and kits;

•    Coordinate Engineering Assistance Request/Response (EAR/R) efforts between maintenance and engineering workforce.

•    Collect, review and file documented information associated with fabrication shop planning and the manufacturing process.

•    Support all company policies and safety programs to include GFR, DCMA, FAA, AS9100, OSHA and EPA guidelines.

•    Train and mentor less experienced technical staff.


Skills and Experiences:

•    2 or more years aerospace experience in detail and assembly methods, and all processes related to the manufacture of aircraft parts and assemblies or related experience.

•    Knowledge and ability to work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). 

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook

Education:

Typically requires training equivalent to two years of technical school.
