Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines save lives, over 2,600 lives.
Final/Receiving Inspector shall apply all basic principles, methods, equipment, operating procedures and inspection techniques to enable accurate inspection of manufactured parts and documentation.

What You Will Do:
- Possess the skills and knowledge to manually inspect dimensions and features on a surface plate
- Inspect features using optical comparators
- Perform audits on certified operators per the QMS requirements
- Understand all Geometric callouts and how to inspect to requirements
- Perform preliminary review of discrepant product
- Perform shipping/receiving/final inspection
- Use of company NCM (non-conforming material) computer systems
- Have basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technologies
- Verifies all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Administers visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies
- Performs administrative tasks associated with files management.
- Role may require standing/walking, lift/carry up to 35lbs, bending/twisting, kneeling/squatting/crawling, reaching, grasping/gripping/pinching/fine manipulation
- Use push carts and pallet jacks to move hardware
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
- 2nd Shift: 3pm to 11pm
- Training: Will train on 1st Shift (7am to 3pm) for up to 90 days
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related disciplineIn the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technologies.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, IndySoft, Teamcenter
- Familiarity with using basic measuring instruments and hand tools, i.e. calipers, gauges, etc.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (i.e. add and subtract decimals)
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
