Position Overview
Monitor Inventory Stock Levels on a daily basis and make adjustments as necessary. Analyze forecasted work loads by fleet type to provide optimum inventory levels. Greensboro contact for ILS Surplus Sales inventory listed on the internet and inter-company sales. Responsible for building, maintaining and reporting on inventory control, surplus sales and consignment/JIT inventory on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Analyze and monitor existing inventory levels, and forecasted future work loads to develop and maintain an optimal amount of stocked inventory, making the appropriate adjustments as required.
- Process inter-company sales, including pulling parts and certs from numerous Stores locations.
- Responsible for receiving and quoting surplus parts listed on the ILS internet website and ensuring that the sales process is completed from beginning to end.
- Prepare, maintain and run several departmental reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Measure and ensure inventory turn times are within departmental standards.
- Process special projects as required or requested by department Supervisor, Manager or Senior Director.
- Procure materials and services necessary to support customer and HAECO requirements at optimum efficiency and pricing.
- Promote the most effective use of company funds in the acquisition of assigned items at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements.
- Select vendors, source material, negotiate prices, terms, and method of shipment per Company policy.
- Maintain rapport with vendors and consistently review previous procurement history to improve pricing.
- Ensure proper approvals are received on all purchase orders in accordance with Company policy.
- Request proper certifications on all orders at time order is placed.
- Reconcile all accounting and receiving discrepancies.
- Negotiate with vendors for the return of materials when necessary.
- Provide constant follow-up until delivery.
- Maintain good company image and vendor relations through professional business conduct.
What you need: (Requirements)
- 2 year College/Business Degree preferred or equivalent
- 5 years experience in inventory control, sales or business related field
- Mid-Level Excel computer knowledge required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to complete all assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Must have above average organizational skills
Preferred:
- Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stair, bend, stoop and stand for extended periods of time.
- Most of the duties are performed in the sitting position with time also spent moving about the office and hangar areas.
- Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
