Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager Materials & Logistics, the Inventory Control Coordinator is focal point for coordinating inbound priority list for the warehouse, the investigation stock variances, and providing updates parts in the warehouse impacting customer orders.  Responsible for ensuring inventory control and accuracy through controlled process & procedures and supports warehouse performance optimization. Will require an aptitude for understanding supply-related issues and business needs, integrating, and analyzing data sets from various sources, following materials management processes and procedures both internally and with third parties, and executing ongoing management of company inventory. Coordinator will work closely and build positive relationships within the supply chain, afterspanet, finance, and operations teams.LocationSidney, BC Duties & ResponsibilitiesFocal point for coordinating inbound/outbound order escalation priority lists with the warehouse.AOG and expedited order tracking through entire flow to order fulfilment, including kitting, DCS/Rotable programFocal point for coordinating with CSRs, quality and the warehouse on customer order/part escalations and providing consolidated updates on part availability impacting customer orders.  Train to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on IFS functionality and processes supporting warehouse operations. Coordinating inventory control processes and procedures that will be used in the warehouse and working with a cross functional team to establish the process documents to ensure the inventory controls are in place, and that there are supporting work instructions.Coordinating inventory counts with the warehouse, ensuring we have auditable records, approvals for all stock adjustments, and providing a summary of lessons learned for final report on the results.Support the implementation of and coordinate a robust cycle counting program focused on improving inventory accuracy with root cause analysis of variances and corrective actions for process improvement.Engage with warehouse leads on daily tasks to ensure alignment on process & best practicesWork with various functions to solve problems affecting inventory accuracy, materials availability, warehouse efficiency and to drive process improvements.Oversight of warehouse safety, storage location planning, setup, changes, and maintenance required to support business requirements, and to ensure both physical and financial segregation of inventory. Work with various functions to solve business problems through process mapping and alignment sessions that enable the business objectives.Build positive relationships with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders from the working level to executive level to achieve program objectives.  Education and ExperiencePost-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, and/or have extensive experience in supply chain considered an asset.APICS CPIM, CSCP is considered an asset.Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail.Lean Six Sigma training, continuous improvement experience preferred.Superior presentation, oral and written communication skills.Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, demanding and deadline-driven environment.5+ years of relevant experience in warehousing, specifically manufacturing considered an asset 5+ years’ experience with Supply Chain processes and/or Warehousing.Experience with aircraft materials management considered an assetProficiency with the IFS, SAP, JDE, or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be considered an asset.Experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment (Asset). SkillsResults oriented and a team player comfortable working with all aspects of the organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.Strong presentation skills with excellent proficiency of MS PowerPoint, and ability to get into details as well as provide executive summaries of complex situations.Proficient with process mapping using Microsoft Visio.Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Comfortable dealing with all levels of an organization.Strong financial acumen with excellent proficiency in MS Excel to analyze data Ability to work in a highly technical environment.
