Roles and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

  • Run braid machines for general braid of leads and harnesses

  • Perform basic set up, tear down and troubleshooting of various types of braiding machines

  • Braid prepping and bonding resistance inspection

  • Make minor adjustments to equipment (i.e. resetting spools with different materials when necessary)

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and Customer Maintenance Manual (CMM)

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

  • Completion of dimensional training and demonstration of proficiency

  • Understanding of all braid materials (i.e. fiber, metal, peak, no mix, Teflon)

  • Understanding of Braid patterns

  • Capable of recognizing defects in braid

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with JS1611

  • Internal workstation auditing

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

  • Basic computer skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Basic written and verbal communications skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willing and able to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

  • Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Willing and able to wear hearing protection

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations as required

  • Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to produce error free products
