Job OverviewWe offer a dynamic, fast-paced work environment for someone looking to grow and excel in their role. You’ll operate computer programmable/controlled machines to perform a series of progressive machining operations in the manufacturer of Aircraft Engine Parts. You’ll be expected to become proficient in all types of machining. This includes developing proficiency in at least one operation (part/family) and training on a second operation (part/family). Initially, you’ll receive detailed instructions on above duties until method and routine of operations have been learned.Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines.
  • Read and understand operation sheets, operational sketches and blue prints.
  • Deburring and polish hardware.
  • Troubleshoot quality problems.
  • Perform in process check location.
  • Doing re-cuts or running rework after set-up.
  • Perform inspection using a variety of precision measuring and test equipment.
  • Works within a team to perform the above duties meet both team and facility operational targets.
  • Participate in at least one committee/plant activity in every two year period.
Requirements include:
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of related experience in manufacturing or 2-year degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with computer systems such as Outlook e-mail, Common Shop Floor, XMI, WJ Web, and Shop Floor menu applications; as well as concepts such as lean manufacturing.
  • Requires the ability to use simple blueprints, simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions, and the use of precision measuring instruments (Calipers, Mic’s, CMM’s, Dial Indicators, etc.).
  • Requires the ability to work from detailed instructions and planning.

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
