STS Technical Services is hiring Machinists in High Ridge, Missouri.
Overview:
Join our team as a Machinist and play a crucial role in the precision manufacturing of components. As a Machinist, you will operate machine tools to produce high-quality parts, following specifications and blueprints. This hands-on position requires a skilled professional with expertise in machining processes and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures for each job.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments and ensure workpieces meet quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and ensure they meet quality and design standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and machining techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Machinist
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Skilled in the setup and operation of various machines including CNC, laser, drill press, and T press
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machining processes.
