Job Title: Manual Machinist
Responsibilities
- Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Utilize and follow detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
- Perform repair and modification work on worn or damaged components.
- Use measuring instruments, both in the shop and on aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks.
- Ensure fabrication is completed on time while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
- Set up machines, select tooling, and monitor quality throughout the machining process.
Essential Skills
- Experience with manual machining, lathe, milling, and grinding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail.
- Machining experience in an Aircraft Production/MRO environment.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with military aircraft and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment
The position is based in a military hangar and requires flexibility to work any shift. Shifts include 1st Shift: M-F 5:30am-2:30pm and 2nd Shift: M-F 2pm-10:30pm. The environment is an open-bay, non-climate controlled space, and team members can expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
