Job Description:

The Material Coordinator analyzes the Authorized Project Stockage Levels (APSL) and recommend revision of stockage level in support of Mission, Type, and Design Series (MDS) specific fleets.

  • Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.

  • Ensure proper logistics support is maintained and problems identified. Maintain related records, review inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material. Monitor and provide additional Supply Section Support, as required. Receive, store, and issue hand tools, tool kits, replacement parts, shop supplies and related equipment, such as measuring devices.

  • Maintain record of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment. Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.

  • Manually load or unload freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacks, shelves, or places items in proper storage locations. Visually inspect tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience performing similar job functions

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization**NAC-I T1 Public Trust.  Note:  US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) or more years as a Material Coordinator.

  • Experience in Army Aviation.

  • Experience with U.S. Army STAMIS systems.

  • Experience with GCSS-Army

HIRING HOURLY RATE: $27.92 an Hour (Hourly to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
