Material Handler 2
Summary:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with material handling and control in support of manufacturing printed circuit boards and other products. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Tasks are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Decisions/actions have an impact within a contained area of work activity. Works under close Supervision. Situations not covered by procedures are referred to a higher level. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in routine exchanges of information; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, would be monitored.
Detailed Description:
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Performs a variety of tasks associated with material handling and control in support of manufacturing printed circuit boards and other products.
- Receives, counts and stocks raw materials.
- Ensures accurate counts, packaging, stock rotation, part identification and shelf-life determination.
- Receives, sorts, inspects, and validates warranty on returned material.
- Completes detailed inventory transactions in appropriate systems, documenting the receipt and delivery of materials.
- Operates a variety of equipment including reel counters, weigh scales, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Delivers material to production and/or shipping areas.
- Prepares, configures, and packages upgrade material kits for shipment to customers.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- Knowledge of warehousing and inventory control practices.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reel counters, scales, pallet jacks and forklift.
- Specific certifications and/or licenses as required
Physical Demands:
- Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Pay Details: $19.00 per week
