Job Description:

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Material Handler at our Chandler, AZ location.

Job Summary:

In this role you will supply materials, parts, consumables and other supplies to the production cells and Core side areas.  Support the manufacturing process by performing the physical tasks involved in the receiving, issuing and shipping of materials or products. Help in the coordination of the core production area performing the tasks and requests from internal and external costumers.

Responsibilities:

  • Commitment to continuous improvement; questions conventional approaches, suggests new ideas and helps to implement new/updated processes.
  • Ensure effective inventory control over all incoming and stocked materials.
  • Receive, unpack and stock materials.
  • Issue critical materials to production cells.
  • Participate in cycle count process.
  • Respond to unplanned issues.
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Process returned products.
  • Ensure compliance with export compliance rules.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of stockroom experience or manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated decision making & problem solving; familiarity with lean principles.
  • Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Manage ambiguity; proven flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with excellent reading, comprehension, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays in order to meet customers needs.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with manufacturing software tools
