PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to hire a WMP Material Handler (Contract) to support the Final Assembly Line in Mobile, AL.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, the WMP Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time on the Final Assembly Line. As part of a multidisciplinary team (MFT) stationed directly at the assembly position, you will coordinate material flow, resolve shortages, and support operational excellence.
Your work directly impacts production continuity, quality standards, and the successful delivery of aircraft.
What You’ll Do
Material Coordination & Shortage Resolution
Coordinate all materials required for assigned assembly activities.
Interface with Mirabel Procurement Operations through a Supply Officer to resolve shortages.
Develop contingency plans for planned shortages and rescheduling needs.
Investigate missing parts, including coordinating physical searches with 3PL partners.
Coordinate return flows with Operational Procurement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with 3PL providers and on-site workshops.
Support effective communication between Business Units.
Participate in daily team meetings to resolve operational issues.
Support the Manager, Logistics in implementing and monitoring Material Management Work Processes.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Support adherence to KPIs related to Health & Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Prepare and issue management reports.
Maintain visual management tools.
Support procedure and work instruction implementation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, workflow consolidation, OSW inventory, and 5S activities.
Apply LEAN principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Material Management, Aerospace, Operations Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
Experience in production assembly, material planning, work planning, and supply management.
General knowledge of materials and equipment used in the aviation industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of shop floor safety and OSHA regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience applying LEAN techniques and continuous improvement principles.
Proficiency with SAP and Google Suite.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg) and carry up to 20 lbs (9 kg) occasionally.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, push, and pull as required in office and production environments.
Comfortable working on jigs at fuselage heights up to 15 feet.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
Adequate vision, hearing, and speaking abilities to function safely in office and production settings.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour
