Material Planning and Project Leader - will purchase indirect materials and services, at the lowest achievable cost, to meet the needs of the site. In addition, this position will lead facility related projects by procuring funds, developing project plans, and leading contractors/vendors to execute the work. Finally, this position will be responsible for entering Capital requests and facilitating the site’s Capital Project meeting.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support and meet production schedules, and manage the areas within budget guidelines and controls
- Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
- Schedule, advise, resolve issues, expedite, and track materials and services
- Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
- Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
- Provide direction, leadership, and material support for assigned production area
- Administer purchase orders (individual and blanket)
- Initiate and process purchase requisitions
- Receive and approve invoices
- Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
- Partner with onsite tool group to enter request for quotes for spot buys, answer questions, provide knowledge-based info and vendor quotes for reference
- Facility Project Management
- Lead Contractors/Vendors
- Proficient in GE’s capital procurement process.
- Able to develop and submit business cases to the Investment Review Board (IRB), procure and manage capital to budget, and see projects to closure).
- Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. Able to utilize multiple sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing experience) + Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience
