Position Summary: The Material Support Specialist reports to the Material Support Manager and is responsible for operations in the parts department.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Ensure the preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject

to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.

• Ensure items received by outside vendors are inspected to ensure proper documentation as outlined in the

receiving inspection procedures manual.

• Ensure specified shelf-life requirements are met.
• Perform the incoming review to identify, control, segregate, and maintain all materials (including raw

materials and parts) according to the manufacturer requirements or standard industry practices.

• Maintain understanding of safety role and how it contributes to the safety performance of the repair

station.

• Education:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Skills/Competencies:
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Must be flexible and read for changes in schedules and plans.
• Ability to adhere to strict time schedules, attendance policies, and appearance standards are non-negotiable.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license.
• Must have a current passport.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds
