Role Summary/Purpose:
Job Description Summary
Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting
2-week inventory levels, at a minimum
- Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory
control)
- Daily Shortage Management – data input/updates
- Input Airway bills upon shipments to vendors
- Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves
- Assist in cycle count efforts as needed
- Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions
- Position may evolve to include other duties as required as the business needs change
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Proficient in MS Excel
- SAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Working knowledge of MRP
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
