Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Supplier Quality Representative to support our Supplier Quality Mid-West Region in Wichita, KS.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs supplier performance data analysis and provide preventative risk mitigation recommendations
Proactively plans and conducts audits and assessments of suppliers systems, processes and products to prevent supplier nonconformances
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Develops and manages a supplier - quality improvement plans
Supports on site activities/events at suppliers
Partners closely with internal Boeing stakeholders and external Supplier personnel
Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work
Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Aerospace Industry Experience
Currently possess a valid driver’s license
Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
2+ years of experience gathering data and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
2+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and lead key continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to travel locally and across the Midwest (based on business needs)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors, Masters or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in quality inspection and/or auditing
Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Experience with model based engineering systems
Experience in supply chain engineering, supplier quality, design engineering, manufacturing engineering
1+ years of experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems
Lean or lean six sigma experience
Program/Project Management certifications
Experience with Project Management Best Practices
Work Location:
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Travel:
Position may require local travel up to 75 of the time.

Summary pay range: USD $82,450 – $111,550
