Parts Manager - FL

The Parts Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for managing the operations of the material services department to purchase, warehouse, and distribute inventory efficiently and effectively. Specific duties and responsibilities are:

• Provides approved replacement parts and materials to support our FAA135 maintenance activities.
• Provides for quarantine of suspected unapproved parts.
• Provides for the material requirements of our operation.
• Manages inventory levels and uses older lots first. (FIFO)
• Monitor consumables for expired shelf life.
• Provides for receiving inspection in accordance with GMM, including provisions for proper inspection of electrostatic-sensitive components.
• Execute purchase orders in accordance with parts requirements as stated in GMM section 10.
• Receive and ship parts and rotable cores to vendors.
• Issue parts to shop orders using TFBO.
• Expedite and follow up on delivery dates to meet desired schedules and inform upper management and the director of maintenance of the status.
• Observe company rules and regulations, including housekeeping proper use of safety methods, and safe operations of equipment.
• Interface with all departments is required, as well as customer, owners, vendors, and their organizations.
• Administers the measure and test equipment calibration program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• The Parts Manager may delegate duties to any qualified assistant, as necessary. However, such delegation does not relieve the materials manager of overall responsibility.
