At KLM Component Services, we’re transforming how we support airlines around the world — ensuring that aircraft components are in the right place, at the right time, every time. Our global supply chain is the backbone of airline reliability, and we’re continuously innovating to make it faster, smarter, and more connected.
We’re looking for a passionate and pragmatic Product Owner to step-up the transformation in our Warehousing and Logistics domain. You’ll work at the intersection of operations, technology and people — connecting directly with the teams that keep aircraft flying — and translating their needs into innovative, value-driven solutions.
As part of this transformation, KLM E&M is replacing its core backbone system with SAP, creating a unique opportunity to collaborate with the project team shape future warehousing and logistics capabilities from the ground up.
As Product Owner, you will take ownership of a key transformation area that impacts over hundreds of colleagues in operations every day. Your mission: make their work easier, more efficient, and more satisfying to ensure a faster turnaround time of components — while ensuring every euro of our innovation budget delivers business value.
As a Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:
You’ll join KLM Engineering & Maintenance’s Component Services organization — the beating heart of aircraft component availability for Air France-KLM and global airline customers. Within the Transformation, Continuous Improvement & Data team.
Your workplace will be KLM E&M at Schiphol-East, surrounded by hangars, logistics centers, and the people who make aviation happen — a setting that keeps you close to the business and the impact of your work visible every day.
You’re someone who thrives where people, process, and technology meet. You’re able to navigate between the warehouse floor and management meetings — understanding what drives each, and turning those insights into meaningful results.
You bring:
Bonus points for experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma, or for having worked in an operational environment where process improvement is key.
An excellent pension scheme and 8 holiday pay
A profit sharing scheme
25 vacation days and 5 to 7 additional days off
Substantial discount on airline tickets (if you have been employed for at least 6 months)
The great thing about KLM? No day is the same and youve got friends for life!
Everything is better with a smile on your face.
