In the role of Program Buyer II, you coordinate activities involved with procuring aerospace products and services. This position contributes to our vision by:
•Assisting with preparation of bid requests which include Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish commercial conditions to procure an item. This may be in support of new production requirements, engineering changes, or in support of the contracts estimating group (new business)
•Loading and maintaining ERP data necessary to allow purchase order placement by supply chain teams
•Interfacing with internal and external customers to resolve problems and issues related to purchase items
•Data mining Bill of Material specifics by Program: Approved sources, Part Number (PN) substitutes, alternative designs, PN equivalencies etc. in order to simplify the Supply Chain structure and costs;
•Offering analysis and negotiation support to the Commodity Buyer team to assure the best commercial conditions are being met during the source selection process to award Long Term Agreements
•Monitoring the application of contract requirements
•Supporting plans and goals lead by the Supplier Performance Management Team

•Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of Business, Supply Chain Management or applicable disciplines.
•Requires 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain, ideally purchasing for electrical components/materials for the Aerospace industry.
•ISM or APICS certification preferred
•Requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple vendors
•Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred
