JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Receiving Inspector
Department: OSC QC Hangar
Reports To: Inspection Supervisor/Inspection Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
To assist in the current workload of CVG.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspecting all incoming raw materials to ensure acceptable quality.
- Inspecting all incoming materials and articles for shipping damage or evidence of mishandling.
- Inspecting all articles received by the repair station, whether supplied by the customer or obtained by the repair station, for proper documentation and traceability.
- Ensuring compliance with repair station procedures for receiving, storing, segregating, and controlling articles intended for installation on a type certificated product.
- Maintaining control and inventory of the QC Bond quarantine cage, including submitting reports for suspected unapproved parts (SUPs) to Inspection management.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations during the course of day-to-day assignments.
- Any other duties as assigned by Inspection management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must possess exceptional attention to detail.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Hold or obtain a repairman’s certificate
2. Must have adequate documented training to substantiate qualifications.
3. Must be proficient with computers and the systems used within the company.
