What You Will Do:
The Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) organization drives our materials and logistics transformation. As Senior Materials Planner - SIOP you will be executing materials transformation initiatives and driving a strategic materials management architecture. It will include the releasing of material, managing handling methods, kitting and material movement following the fundamentals of line back logistics.
Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals with the business units/departments and objectives to meet capacity requirements, inventory controls, cost reduction objectives, on time delivery, and control tower measures.
The Senior Materials Planner - SIOP will work directly with CSMC administration, materials, operations and 3PL organizations as well as the internal manufacturing groups to redefine processes, execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations.
Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on change management
Ensure that CSMC is transforming to meet the customer demands of a complex manufacturing environment
Establish and execute standards and expectations for work effort and performance; provide feedback on performance to those standards
Implement Lean manufacturing measures to insure value streams and shop operations are balanced at all times and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer satisfaction
Communicate to peers and management, the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow.
Establish system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors Degree combined with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment or OR a Masters degree combined with 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment
In absence of a degree, 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelors degree in a STEM field
Aerospace industry experience
Experience utilizing SAP operating system
Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, Lean manufacturing system design and shop floor management
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC)
CPIM certification or willingness to earn

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
