Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing the receiving, packaging, inspection, and documentation of production sales and repair orders. This role supports inventory initiatives and annual inspections, as well as picking and kitting for production.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring parts and documentation match purchase, repair, and sales order requirements.
• Enter all information accurately into the ERP system and validate materials for correct part number, serial numbers, condition, and quantity.
• Process sales and repair orders in compliance with company ISO procedures and federal regulatory requirements, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Ensure proper packaging of parts following commercial packing standards to avoid damage during shipment.
• Review documentation for accuracy, transfer parts from receiving to stock location, perform invoicing, and image shipping documents.
• Determine appropriate carriers and schedule pickups as needed.
• Load transportation carriers and provide customer service for shipping-related issues.
• Perform inventory validation and pick and kit orders for production.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to apply general reasoning to carry out detailed instructions and solve standardized problems.
• Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Understanding of packing, labeling, and shipping standards.
• Experience using an ERP system, with Quantum and Pentagon software a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; or 2-3 years of related experience.
• Forklift certification and experience required.
• 2-3 years of aviation inventory or related operations experience preferred.

Work Environment

Work collaboratively in a team of about 10 employees, closely interacting with the engineering team. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Greenville,SC.
