JOB PURPOSE

This position requires an energetic individual to work in a fast-paced team-oriented shipping position. Able to work well under pressure and time constraints. Accurate data entry with excellent organizational skills essential. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as vendor invoices or packing slips, and internal company documents. Experience with regard to receiving inspections, documentation and traceability of aircraft parts per FAA regulations helpful but not required. This position is key to ensuring effective and efficient shipping of the product.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

• Verify material with invoice or packing sheet.
• Receive and prep shipments for outside sales customers.
• Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
• Package shipments with proper labeling by carrier.
• Log Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
• Track packages when required.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Performs maintenance work such as shop housecleaning.
• Performs other clerical duties.
• Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
• Loads trucks or other mode of transportation by using a forklift.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
• Basic understanding of dock, and warehouse procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year work experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.
• State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.

SMS REQUIREMENTS

• Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
• Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
• Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse, outside and on the loading dock.

Other: May be required to work at our Marana, AZ, Tucson, AZ and Roswell, NM locations as business needs dictate.
