Description:Sikorsky a Lockheed Martin Company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial and military missions. Sikorsky Aircraft Supplier Quality is seeking a Strategic Supplier Quality Engineer to lead long term initiatives for Supplier Quality. The candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, be a high performer that is goal-oriented who will be responsible for defining and executing strategy for the Sikorsky Supplier Quality team. Examples of strategic initiatives include supporting management of supplier transitions, evolving the make to buy process, streamlining GIDEP processing, along with other strategic tasking as assigned.

The selected candidate will work directly with the RMS Supplier Quality Excellence team, RMS Quality Transformation Team, Sikorsky Supply Chain team, Sikorsky Product Centers, Sikorsky Engineering, and Sikorsky Programs to ensure business objectives, contract requirements, financial targets, quality specifications, scheduled delivery dates and customer requirements are achieved. In addition, the candidate will be required as needed to interact directly with Sikorsky Senior Management, suppliers, engineering, contracts, and operations to provide oversight, support, and guidance.

The select candidate must have excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal, leadership and verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player, possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment.
Travel will be required as needed domestically and possibly internationally (~25)
Basic Qualifications:
-A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision required.

-Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft access and project.

-Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer requirements

-Must have problem solving skills at a highly refined level
-Strong written analytical skills required

- A team player that can work with multiple disciplines in multi-functional organizations

-Results focused with effective scheduling and organizational skills

-Experience in root cause analysis, mistake proofing, project management, and technical writing skills

-Must possess effective communication in which you are able to structure, prepare and deliver compelling and clear communications to all levels of the organization

-Previous Supply Chain / Sourcing / Supplier Quality / Quality experience, understanding of the procurement process, particularly source selection criteria, quality flow-downs, and verification/acceptance methods

-Experience in proactive supply chain/supplier risk identification and mitigation approaches.

- Background in ISO 9001/AS9100

-Experience defining and implementing strategy for an organization

- In-depth understanding of supplier transitions and associated requirements

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
