Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support embedded software and web/database applications to enable predictive maintenance capabilities on GDLS combat vehicle platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, integrate, and test PdM software components at subsystem and vehicle levels.
Develop and maintain modern web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend languages such as Python, PHP, or Java.
Create and manage relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and write optimized SQL queries.
Support embedded systems development including embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal programming.
Interface with hardware systems, using protocols such as SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, debugging, and optimization to ensure performance, memory efficiency, and maintainability.
Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in embedded systems and software engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software, web applications, and database development.
U.S. Citizenship required (due to the nature of defense programs).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in C/C++, and one or more backend languages (Python, PHP, Java).
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices.
Experience with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and advanced SQL queries.
Background in embedded system development (embedded Linux, RTOS, bare-metal, microcontrollers).
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols (SPI, CAN, Ethernet).
Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git).
