Summary:
Visually inspect solder and conformal coatings on circuit card assemblies per IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards
Apply predetermined inspection methods, operations, and prescribed specifications
Use drawings, checklists, and reference documents to guide inspections
Utilize various measuring devices, including dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales
Ensure assemblies meet manufacturing and industry quality requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience inspecting solder connections for both surface mount and plated thru-hole components per IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards
Ability to navigate IPC standards and accurately apply accept/reject criteria
Detail-oriented with strong ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control documents, and work instructions
Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective team player
Proficient with personal computers
Able to interface diplomatically with all levels of manufacturing when addressing quality defects
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
