The Sourcing Fulfilment Leader is responsible for driving and communicating the overall material health for an assigned value stream, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support production and customer delivery. This role focuses on measuring performance, identifying risks and gaps, and leading actions to improve material availability and flow across the value stream.Working cross-functionally with Planning, Operations, Sourcing, and Materials teams, the Sourcing Fulfilment Leader ensures data accuracy and transparency, enabling targeted problem-solving and effective decision-making. They act as the primary escalation point for the Fulfilment team, owning both short-term recovery plans to resolve critical shortages and longer-term strategic initiatives to prevent recurrence and strengthen supply resilience.The Sourcing Fulfilment Leader partners closely with the Material Health Leader to drive strong material throughput, looking both end-to-end across the value stream and into the performance of key suppliers. Roles and Responsibilities
- Be the Sourcing focal point for the customer. Own the 13-week material health window for assigned Value Stream, known internally as the Critical Material Review.
- Operate using standardised material health processes, partnering with key stakeholders, such as, Materials, Planning & Operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering functions to drive solutions on technical supply issues.
- Manage a key supplier account, critical towards the success of the Cheltenham business.
- In conjunction with Fulfilment Specialists, monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to manage any required recovery plans/actions.
- Host suppliers and be a representative of GE Aerospace, including supplier travel.
- Escalate issues to Material Health Leader (MHL) and other leaders with a concise and solution-focused communication style.
- Ownership of daily management meetings, providing latest operational updates.
- Deputise for Material Health Leader, as and when required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills, including challenging conversations.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally & be able to influence others and lead small teams.
- Strong supply chain knowledge and experience, preferably through managing external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst receiving multiple and competing priorities.
- Desired knowledge of Oracle ERP systems, or an equivalent.
- Digital agility to extract, manipulate and present data to support problem-solving.
- Customer-focused mindset to drive delivery goals.
