SUMMARY
Assist the Materials Department in keeping a fully organized, safe and efficient Stockroom; maintain and document current inventories; cycle counting; issue/kit materials, parts and / or company owned tooling under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain stock, keep a running inventory, and verify stock that is issued and received.
- Ensure all parts are first approved by Quality Control Department prior to issuing to the departments or to shipping.
- Safely handle, store and dispose of all hazardous materials in accordance with Company processes and regulations.
- Ensure documentation is completed and filed correctly in order to track it to the vendor or manufacturer by purchase order number.
- Update Resource Planning database (CIMA) with current and accurate inventory counts for materials, parts and / or articles.
- Issue and account for company owned tooling including precision measurement calibrated tooling.
- Operate forklifts; utilize pallet-jacks, hand trucks, to move, store, or deliver bulk items.
- Make sure that purchase order numbers are permanently spaned on all parts.
- Ensure that all supplies are ordered through Purchasing.
- Maintain a sufficient supply of materials and equipment for personnel as required.
- Unload and inspect incoming materials; deliver supplies within the company.
- Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials and the elimination of wasteful practices.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.
- Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School education, or equivalent reading, writing, and mathematical abilities.
- 2 to 4 years related work experience.
- Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan work.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours or second shift, when needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Read, write, and understand the English language.
