Most importantly, you’ll share in our pride and purpose that affects the lives of millions around the world!The Supplier Quality Cost Strategy Leader role is specifically designed to create an understanding of how Integrated Manufacturing Quality impacts GEA Supply Chain’s ability to manage cost, and how the organization can identify new opportunities for incremental productivity. This role will be accountable for defining productivity strategies by utilizing quality-specific data and leading internal ideation teams - primarily focused on GE Aerospace’s external supply base. Using FLIGHT DECK, the Supplier Quality Cost Strategy Leader will partner closely with suppliers and GEA’s internal Value Engineering Team to develop new standards and processes for quality-focused supplier productivity. These outcomes will directly inform the actions and prioritization for our Supplier Quality Operations engineering teams. Strong communication skill and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, both on the working and leadership levels, are essential for success in this role.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work within policies, procedures, processes and regulations that align with both Industry and GE Quality standards, including APQP deployment.
  • Build an ideation strategy for the quality team that involves VAVE, P-FMEA and D-FMEA techniques and supplier inputs to design and process changes.
  • Own the cost data thread for the quality team, build visual insights and management tools to enhance opportunity identification, and drive new insights from established data sets.
  • Train and coach GEA and supplier teams through newly developed approaches to productivity strategy and cost-out plays utilizing FLIGHT DECK.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related engineering field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Manufacturing, Design Engineering or Repair Engineering
